Please, if you have the time, check your kids’ closets or your storage bins to see if you have something that can be passed on. If you don’t have children, but would like to purchase a new costume, your generosity and participation would be greatly appreciated as well! The children that are served by Child Advocates have been removed from their homes due to life-threatening abuse and/or neglect. Often times, they do not get to have a costume to participate in trick or treating. Your generosity in passing on or buying a costume will go a long way in brightening their day. Children like 15-year old Kia who is reading her second book on her new Kindle. Children like 7-year old Roberto who will not leave home without his new remote-controlled helicopter. We reaching out to you all, who are parents, that might have costumes from Halloweens past that you might be willing to pass on? We will be collecting them at 4 Houston area Whole Foods location from 11 –2 this coming Saturday, October 15th. You can drop them off at the Woodway, Bellaire, Kirby, Wilcrest or Montrose (Waugh) locations. Please, if you have the time, check your kids’ closets or your storage bins to see if you have something that can be passed on. If you don’t have children, but would like to purchase a new costume, your generosity and participation would be greatly appreciated as well! The children that are served by Child Advocates have been removed from their homes due to life-threatening abuse and/or neglect. Often times, they do not get to have a costume to participate in trick or treating. Your generosity in passing on or buying a costume will go a long way in brightening their day.
